Where users could enter and edit each other's summaries. And up/downvote each others' additions.

I think you'd have to build a StackOverflow-like system of increasing editorial / mod privileges so that the power to edit / moderate comes only with karma.

It's really just a company which makes audio-summaries of books. See if there are any books which people want to listen to in summarized form. Does blinkist carry them? If not, produce those summaries and audio recordings. You can start small by publishing those summaries to audible.com. If you get some nibbles, build your own website around it.
