Amigo Courier launch
Hey guys, glad to be part of the awesome community. I have been mulling over this idea and today I just setup a basic landing page with a sign up email list to measure interest. So Amigo Courier was born!
Essentially buyers from around the world are limited to terrible shopping/commerce where they are from. It’s very common to go to the US and buy everything they had been waiting on during the trip. Basic goods like a simple T-shirt from Old Navy are priced $10 locally but $25+ internationally. As you can imagine all this adds up!
I have tons of experience seeing both sides of this. I grew up in Ecuador but I’m very fortunate to be an American and living in the US. Part of my family living in Ecuador has to go through this terrible experience as well.
I’ve also been paid to carry certain goods when I was traveling to Ecuador to visit. One time I took something as big as a Trek bike and got paid $100ish to which i said “Hell yes!” as a broke college student.
I’m just trying to see what the demand and reception is for this. I’d also like any input or comments regarding this.
