A keyword tracking tool that can track given websites (user can pick websites from a list of available sites like Techcrunch, Reddit, Hackernews, Lobsters, Medium etc) for given keywords and sends daily/weekly/monthly keyword alerts in email.

Fairly good. A free service. Sends daily emails. But only tracks Reddit, Hackernews and Lobsters ONLY. If I want to add sites like Techcrunch, Medium, Stackoverflow it will not allow. This is a major issue as I donot want to create an account to maintain just 3 sites only and that too with below hard limits.
Hard limits as below.
Each account to have a maximum of 200 keywords
If a keyword is found more than 50 times, the service will pullout the keyword.
Each account with maximum of 200 keywords is not a big downside for now. So, I do not consider that as a big issue.
But the actual issue is the limit of mentions on the keyword. There are high chances that a given keyword could be mentioned more than 50 times when I track multiple sites multiple times and this hard limit won’t work. This is a major issue.

First, good luck on your project! I read your review article, and you did a good job weighing the pros/cons of different solutions.
Anyway, I am the creator of F5Bot, and I'd like to clear up a couple things.
If the 50/hits per day is an issue for you, just let me know and I can increase it for your account. It's only there so that people don't accidentally flood their inbox. Also, the count does reset every day.
The 200/keywords per account is also just a guideline. I'll happily increase it for anyone that asks. In fact, I've always said so on my FAQ: https://f5bot.com/faq
I am planning on adding support for additional sites soon. I already have the prototypes done for a couple sites, but as this is only a free side-project, I'm a little slow in rolling them out.
Anyway, it would be cool to see some new competition here. If you can really add support for all those sites listed in your survey, that would be super cool! Good luck again on your project.

Yes, I really did a lot of research on the entire market before starting on this for 2 weeks and then spent another 2 weeks putting up code and at this point all the mentioned sites are supported in my prototype.
So, at this point I would need to do more market analysis before I add more code.
