Ecommerce saas: what is your weapon of choice?
I'm looking for an ecommerce saas and I was going for Shopify, except it's pretty expensive! My plan is to build the design from the ground-up, so I need the backoffice and admin part.
What do you suggest?

Shopify starts at 29$ per month and if you fully customize you can just use buy button which I think is even less. If this is eCommerce project that cost is not even a rounding error compared to marketing, logistics or even accounting especially if you go global.
I guess you could do WooCommerce or Magento but if you count anything per hour for your own work it quickly becomes none started. Other ones that come to mind is BigCommerce, Squarespace, Volution and Moltin but I haven't used them.
Shopify is definitely the best option in terms of keeping things simple. It is very expensive though...

Shopify for sure. I have had zero issues using it. Worth the price IMO. Lots of apps to add on to it, nice mobile app as well to help run things while on the go.

Wordpress is a no-no for me. Never had a positive experience on that
it takes some time to get it setup right. The power of WP + WC lies in its customisation. Depending on the skill and willingness, you can pretty much change whatever you want. Again, too much control is not always good, but very useful when needed.
