I made something stupid this week end

Hello everyone!

I had a strange idea last week but I kinda liked it, so I decided to make it real.

I made this early POC: https://dailyrandom.biz/

The idea is that you can post your product into our "pool" of product. And each day at midnight, we select a random product from the pool (never the same 2 days in a row though), and we share the product on different social medias.

Once you enter, you enter forever. One time $20 payment. And every day you get a chance to be featured.
You can be featured multiple times of course. Just not two days in a row.

The goal on my end will then to improve the automation of the daily social posting, gain followers, etc.

What do you think ? Would you post your product ?

My first question is how much influence do you have on your social channels. I can't see this from your site.

Similar web also has no data as to the traffic your site gets.

It could be a super viral thing if you:

    1. lowered the price from $20 to like $5 (or market it as the cost of a cup of coffee
    2. Had a large social following

      This.

Since this is like a lottery, you need to make it really cheap, and high reward.

That's actually a good idea! I'm going to check what I can do for the social media part

I pay 20$ and don't even know when my product will be promoted OR MAYBE NEVER?

Maybe I would pay for that if I know getting featured on your site means a lot of traffic. Until then, nope

      Yep, that's the "game"
Would you do it if it was cheaper ?

As the entries in the pool increases the chances of featuring equally diminishes.
Just a suggestion, the product of the day on the home page, needs to be above the fold.
$5 seems like a fair price for the risk as it is a lifetime fee.

I like it, but instead of a set rate, you should aggregate your "social influence" and come up with a price based on that. So the more followers you get, more views your links get, etc the more people pay.

You may want to look into the legal details of "lotteries". I'm certainly no lawyer but this looks a bit like a lottery insomuch as users pay an entry fee for a chance to receive something of value.

Maybe you can do it free for 1 product/idea... So If the person sees the value with more views into his landing page, more subscribers or even more sells, he/she will be much more willing to put money on your service.
