What do you think EU's copyright law? Is it gonna affect you?

The law affects also the content created by European license owners and it's practically a mess now with YouTube. However, still I hope that the concept of "fair use" on https://www.polygon.com/2018/9/11/17843664/copyright-directive-europian-union-parliament-explained-internet-article-13-youtube-fair-use will be treated seriously and lose its ambiguous impact.

It may affect the articles submission checking process (for me as an editor), because for sure, I cannot say if the user is submitting his/her own articles (research papers which are submitted for https://hireessaywriter.org/ editing purposes and actually need my proofreading) to the archive.

I think the biggest problem is that press reporters write about it without knowing it's original content (same goes for people commenting on those articles). Same was with GDPR - most non-EU citizens immediately hated it (without reading it), now look - non-EU companies are applying GDPR, because it's good for end-users, wherever they are (also because of law, if you serve customers in the EU). And the Electronic Frontier Foundation is spreading FUD about the copyright law, which honestly is sad to see.

We better start working asap on that P2P internet we always talk about building.

I think it's another step towards Europe separating itself from the internet, much like China has been doing over the past 15 years. The era of globalized internet hit its high point more than a decade ago and doesn't look like it will return anytime soon.

The only real effect on me is that I'll avoid incorporating or operating any sort of internet-focused business in the EU.
