Hey Courtland, why is there no super obvious podcast link on the homepage??
I Imagine a good number of people come to your site after listening to a number of your podcasts (like me) and wonder how to get to them before stumbling across them in a small square off to the side of the learn page. I think a podcast link on the hopmepage, or even in the header, would be a good idea.
P.S. your podcasts and this site in general is awesome and super motivating. Thank you so much for creating it!
Figuring out the navigation is tough. We get a lot of questions about why the interviews, podcasts, and articles aren't easier to find, but ultimately, we're putting out a lot of content with plans to introduce even more series/types in the near future, and there's no way it's all going to fit in the top nav bar. Some thoughts on how we can handle this:
I can empathize. We've gone through soooo many iterations of the Product Hunt header navigation, with more changes coming soon.
I know Courtland and Channing have gone through many iterations of the navigation bar.
I'm assuming that they don't have a dedicated "Podcast" nav link because the majority of podcast listeners are on mobile, playing the podcast through Apple Podcasts, Overcast, Stitcher, or another player.
It would also make sense that they want the main web experience to be the community, thus removing any distractions from that like a podcast player. The web experience is primarily focused on building community, exploring products, and finding useful information. I'm not sure if the podcast is that crucial to the web experience.
Interesting, I didn't think of it like that and you make a good point about mobile and community.
It makes me wonder how much of the community is aware of the podcasts though. I haven't been around the forms for very long so I can't compare the usefulness of the info you get there vs the podcasts, but the podcasts are an amazing source of useful info.
Anecdotal report: I'm a desktop (web?) IH user and I'm aware of the podcast but have yet to listen to it. Perhaps a more significant C2A could be useful. Either way, I'll make a note to check one of the podcast episodes out later, it sounds like a winner.
You HAVE to listen to the podcast. Missing out man. Courtland always posts podcast interviews in the learning section and in the forum. Interesting that you haven't listened yet.

I agree - the podcast is awesome and I think it would help to feature a more prominent link. If a mobile-friendly web player or embed player is needed, RadioPublic is a good choice: radiopublic.com/indiehackers
