Office Hours with me.. a new concept.
Hi Guys,
Quick one here. I recently purchased a membership at a private members club in London, UK. The idea is that I would use it as a quiet space to work on my projects and use for meetings etc.
I also had an idea of running an office hours product. Office hours would enable non technical people to come and meet with me for a three hour workshop to discuss the technicalities of a project of their choice. There would be 2 hours meeting room time with the option to stay for another 1 hour or move to the inhouse restaurant for the remaining hour.
It's a strange concept I think but I think there are people out there without access to people you and I to discuss the nuts and bolts of a project.
Below is a bit of a marketing blurb I have just thrown together. What do you think? If you didn't have a technical background, would this interest you?

WHAT
A 3 hour workshop with Conor, to discuss technology subject matter* of your choice. Perhaps you have an interesting business idea that requires a technical solution, or you have a project that is beginning to get a little unwieldy and need another set of eyes
My objective is to provide you with a technical deep dive and arm you with the knowledge to make an informed decision on the next steps of your project.
Our workshops are held at an exclusive, luxury members club in the City of London. Locations include Bank and Moorgate.
The 3 hour workshop includes 2 hours meeting time along with one hour dining at in-house restaurant. Alternatively, a straight 3 hour session can be run with food and beverages supplied ad-hoc.
Meeting room facilities include:

• Notepads & pencil
• Plasma screen (VGA + HDMI)

WHY
During my career I have come across many people with enquiries about technology, but without the requisite background. Many people have come to me and want to discuss an idea they have. Often people want to discuss the technical viability of a project, scope and potential work effort (cost) to build an initial version.
Having had many of these types of meeting in the usual “Coffee shop setting”, I have come to know that they are unsuitable. Coffee shops and diners can be uncomfortable, noisy, too public for sensitive discussions. For this reason I decided to launch the office hours product, which addresses these issues.

The 3 hours session is priced at £180 + VAT which includes meal.

I think you need to work on how you pitch the product.
Try making it clearer to non-technical founders what value you're going to provide them with, for example.
That doesn't tell me much about why I should book you. Will my product be better afterwards? Will I save time, money?

Yes, fair point. This was a really quick 3 minute draft with little thought. I just wanted to float the idea hear.
I think I need to articulate the problems non technical founders have. Typical questions and uncertainties, then the key takeaways they will get from a session with me.

Difficult to tell. I've seen lower and higher.
Normally I'd expect someone doing this kind of consulting to kick off a bit cheaper (under $100) as a way to get more traffic in the door and upsell later. You seem to be doing a one-off though, so maybe not applicable.

I see your point. But I am trying to be honestly the polar opposite.
I will not try and upsell and this is not a sales lead tool but an honest session. Buyers can utilise my credentials and experience to get a handle on what it is they want/need from a technical perspective, while enjoying a 5 star surrounding, food and beverage. It is priced so that they know they aren't being sold during the session. I guess I need to make that clear.
For example...free consultations are never free. It is an opportunity to pitch you.
I must do some variations that are just for time and no food but just light refreshments etc.
My main reasoning for this was that I have forked out for the club membership and there a various benefits which I could utilise to earn back some of the membership fee.
