I have been working on pre-sell calls doing problem extractions. Successfully sold to 7 clients.
Recently, a few new prospects told me their biggest challenge. I told them I am on mission to solve it. They say great, “I’ll pay your lifetime deal.” Then on email with PayPal link, and my follow up email, they read both but didn’t respond back.
Love to hear your pre-sell approach, and how to follow up when they verbally say they will pay.
At times, it's just a matter of being busy, and keeping a mental note of coming back to purchase things I need.
You should keep following up until you get either a No or a Yes.
We've had this issue with enterprise clients. It takes a lot of hand holding and prodding. Often it just falls by the wayside even when they genuinely want it. Keep following up consistently.
Same.
Great post on the subject: https://stripe.com/atlas/guides/starting-sales
It takes my day job company a long time to go through the procurement process. We need to analyse our needs, research solutions, get feedback from various stakeholders (ciso, cfo, cto, gm etc) and then make a decision. At the same time we have to actually run the company too and some times wait for other stuff to drop first too.
Long way of saying keep calling until the money lands in your account. Maybe call weekly or so.
Have they already tried out your product?
How long have they been using your product?
How many calls have you been on with the prospects?
its a pre-sell, so:
a few back and forth chat
1 problem discovery call and pitched to sell at end, interested to buy
2 email
came back with a No
What do you think i should do next?
You shouldn't ask for more eyes upfront. If I were your customer, I would love to see a demo of the whole product to see how it works and how it helps me.
so would you recommend getting a bunch of users to try the product for free instead of qualifying them with paying of it?
Yes. Start with a free trial of 14 days. If the product is big and it takes some time getting used to then give it for a month and track the activities and get CONSTANT feedback.
