Ideas on monetising a facebook group
About 3 years ago, I started a Facebook group to see how much I can grow it. The group is for sharing stories that are positive, about humanity and about love. The stories are shared from other Facebook groups or stories from around the web.
I also made some pictures with positive quotes on it. That worked quite well for attracting new Likes and Follows when the targeted group matches the quote and picture.
Today, it has about 19K Likes and Follows. Last few months, I have tried to think of ways to monetise the group.
I've tried T-Shirts, mugs, posters with positive messages or graphic on it. There was zero traction on these ideas.
If you have some success monetising your Facebook group, can you share some techniques for inspiration and some new ideas. Many thanks.

In order to monetize on any group of people, one must provide some sort of value to the group. In order to provide value, one must understand the needs of the group or solve a good problem for the group.
I may be oversimplifying here, but, it sounds like members of your group like to feel "Optimistic", "cheerful" and like to spread some love.
One idea worth testing is an ability to send "something" in your case a t-shirt, mug, poster, greeting card or even a handwritten note to someone they love/like. You would direct ship the product to whomever they select.
