tipps and tricks for a proper Invoice with licence.

Hi everyone,
I've got my first customer who wants to buy my product.
The problem is i don't know how to create Invoices.
Is there any good practice you can share with me?
Also is there a diffrence between a invoice with a yearly/quaterly licence and a normal one time invoice?
How do i structure it ?
