Hey all,
I got laid off and I’m out of ideas to build, so I want to learn something, but I’m at a roadblock, I start a new job in 3 weeks, and want to be productive as possible!
Does anyone have some ideas on what I can learn or do?
Thanks
You can 'learn something' after work once you're back on the 9 to 5, on the weekends, at lunch; have you thought of doing other things that you can only do with a solid block of 3 weeks? Something like a long hike, roadtrip to visit and stay with a friend or two you haven't seen for a while, a couple of weeks on the beach in Costa Rica learning from books and adventuring around there?
This!
Use your time off to do something not related to work. Time off, relaxing, have a broad interest if what life make more enjoyable (in the long run).
This advice is two-fold too: it will more likely give you new ideas and you well-rested to start your new job.
Enjoy!
Solving a problem that you have is always a good place to start. That's what I'm doing at the moment.
Think about what annoys you, and try to solve it - here's what annoys me for inspiration:
what a nice one)
Make a Udemy course to teach a skill. Use Facebook advertising to promote it. Keep 90% of the sales.
Relax and rest for a week and then brainstorm for one week and then go mental for a week
what do you already know? what areas are you interested in learning?
I know a few programming languages, but I realize I don’t want to learn another programming language exactly, I more am interested in Development life cycles or actual languages
well its not exactly productive to spend 3 weeks learning an actual language, because you won't get anything useful out of that in such a short time. But it is fun.
What is an "actual language"? Like Spanish or English?
English is the only actual language. Everyone knows if you have something important to say, you say it in English. Lol.
