To equity crowdfund or not to equity crowdfund?

Hi Everyone,
I'm new to this site and the Founder of Mashlink, a new iOS app just launched this summer. I'm trying to raise money to develop more features, build the Android version, and market the app. I'm seriously considering equity crowdfunding but I have zero experience with it. I thought this would be a good place to ask for advice.
