Launching Failory 2.0: Content to Help YOU Build a Profitable Startup

Hey IndieHackers! I am Rich, maker of Failory, a site I launched 16 months ago in which I weekly interviewed the founders of failed startups (the opposite to what @csallen does in IH!).

Like 10 months ago, I realized I had to enlarge the scope of the site and began publishing other types of interviews and articles as well as building some tools. Working during my free times, I was able to build most of the things that I wanted. However, the main topic of the site continued being the interviews with the failed startup founders.

This is why, 4 weeks ago, I decided to carry out a re-design of the entire site and move these interviews out of the homepage, to begin showing the different tools Failory has. Today, I am finally launching Version 2.0 of the website

I would love to know your feedback about the project and opinion of this decision to change the direction of the startup. Thanks in advance!

Hey Rich. Looks good, I was following your website before the re-launch and found some of the interviews to be insightful.

Congrats on 2.0 launch. I found https://www.failory.com/entrepreneurial-lists to be very helpful

Hey! Thanks for your feedback and for taking the time to share your opinion. I understand what you say and agree with the branching out point.

The reason why I started with the success interviews and building other tools is that Failory audience was constantly requesting them. This audience stopped being makers and people interested in small business, to become startup founders who are looking to find ways to solve their problems and learn about entrepreneurship.

I want to scale and grow and this wasn't possible keeping only the interviews with failed startups. The traffic wasn't growing too. Since I introduced the success interview, both traffic and revenue have grown.
