Just launched a free Founders Club for our platform. Thoughts on rewards?

We just launched a free Founder's Club over at crowdsourcer.io/founder and I thought I'd ask for your opinions on it.
We're trying to strike a balance between fun (themed) rewards and actual discounts on our service.
It works on referrals (which is something our users do anyway as they collaborate) as it's free to enter, and the ranks are:
25 referrals
- Profile Badge
- Tin cup
100 referrals
- Permanent 2.5% off commission on all projects created on the platform
- Profile badge
- T-shirt
250 referrals (only really achievable over a prolonged period of time, or with a largish social following)
- Permanent 25% off all extra services on the platform
- Profile badge
- Jacket
What are your general thoughts? We want it to be fun, but also beneficial and achievable. In the first day it launched someone pretty much hit the first rank.

I think your referral requirement numbers are way too high to be appealing to anyone but a professional affiliate and your rewards too low for those people.
Most people would be lucky to refer 1-3 people to a platform like this.
Hmmm thanks for the feedback. I was wondering that myself. Might lower them. Any ideas on what might be good bands? 10, 75, 150 maybe? Any lower and I might have to remove the jacket and t-shirt as they're pricy.
I think you have to look more at the LTV of the referrals to decide. It is work to refer people plus has a social cost as you are selling someone elses product to your friends and I don't see anyone doing it enough to get 10 people just for a badge on their profile.
If you can't make enough off the LTV of 5 people to cover a t-shirt you would probably find more success in different traffic routes or remove the tshirts and just work on discounts. They don't need to be lifetime. Tshirts are seen as low value rewards in tech anyhow as I'm sure you've left a conference with a bag packed full of swag tshirts before.
This is absolutely great advice, thank you. The only thing I think might be different is that the main users of the founders program are likely to be project creators themselves, so they'll simply be using their referral link instead of their project page link when posting it around to get contributors into their project. So I don't think it'll be friends per se, but your point is still valid. Thank you
Just a quick rant. What is it with sites and thin low contrast fonts! It seems to be everywhere now a days.

Probably a side effect of development on big iMacs. This was unintentional, will get this fixed.
