Day 10. Building in public from Ukraine.
I'm 19, the border closes for men at 22. I built JobMap because I needed a way out — and realized millions of immigrants face the same problem.

the app is actually great, i just tried it. If a lot of people know about it, they would use it. It's amazing you don't have to log in to search for jobs: that's a plus on conversion side.
What strategy are using to get users?
Applying for jobs abroad often feels like throwing resumes into a void because you never truly know if a company is even willing to sponsor a visa or if they only hire locally.
The real exhaustion comes from the "application fatigue" of spending hours on a role only to realize later that you didn't meet a specific residency requirement that wasn't clearly stated. By color-coding these roles based on actual qualification data you're moving from a blind numbers game to a targeted strategy that saves a massive amount of emotional energy for people in high-pressure situations.
Since you've already seen searches from places like Dublin and Frankfurt, have you thought about reaching out to those specific users to see which "yellow" or "red" criteria were the biggest deal-breakers for them?
Building a product driven by such a powerful, personal "why" is exactly what makes the best founders! That color-coded map is a brilliant, intuitive UX choice for a very real pain point. That’s usually where new tools either get discovered or missed completely.
