A common legal mistake I see in early-stage SaaS products

One common issue I see with early-stage SaaS products is using generic or outdated legal templates that don’t actually reflect how the product works. Features change quickly, pricing evolves, and data usage grows. but the legal pages often stay the same.

This can create confusion for users and risk for founders, especially when you start getting traction or external attention. Small adjustments early like aligning Terms, Privacy Policies, and usage rules with real product behavior can save a lot of time and stress later.

I spend most of my time helping founders review, adapt, and rewrite these documents so they stay clear, practical, and compliant as products evolve. Curious if others here have revisited their legal docs after launch, or if they’re still running on first versions.
