A place for photos worth remembering

IMHO Google is fine for me, every time I take a pic, it get's stored automatically in my Google photos drive, and keeps my phone storage clean by deleting the pics afterward automagically.

Furthermore, you talk about privacy, people do not generally want to store pics that they do not want them publicly available, sure there are people who do it (most likely celebs, artists) in unwanted situations, and yes they get hacked and their privacy violated, but how are you going to tackle this issue, how is it that you're going to do a better job than Google/Apple, no offense, you might have the magic bullet, but when you say -"Have users mail me thrid hard disks/pen drives, and then organise and push photos into the app." This is rather totally insecure and why will someone trust you to deliver you or your company with private pictures?

There are many variables here that you will need to address, the road is long but not impossible, I wish you the best of luck in trying to solve all these issues beforehand, and btw, redact a good terms and services as well as privacy document to specify how will you respond in case of a threat or breach event. People won't pay for anything to do with storing or organizing photos because Google and Facebook set the price expectation to $0.

Also, I'm not sure how "Android app" is compatible with "organize pics quickly".

Organizing large number of images is a pain even if you have a fast, dedicated app like Picasa (dead) or a good web app on desktop, like Google Photos.

As far as safety, not sure how you plan to convince people that your startup is better at keeping pictures than Google.

Not sure if the first needs you addressed still are actual needs — how are you differentiating yourself from Google Photos or similar solutions? Mailing you photos sounds incredibly sketchy, why would people trust you with their private pictures? Connecting other storage services via API would be a smarter move for sure...
