Added Audio to a Blog post and Published it as a Podcast

I have a technical blog about IT Infrastructure (mostly networking focused). This past week I decided to record myself reading my post about the Locator/ID Separation Protocol. Is anyone else doing something similar?
I'm viewing this as a way to get my toes wet without going all in, committing to a co-host, etc.

I think that's a great idea. Some people prefer to read, some to listen, and when you've got the content already it's an easy win. The thing to look out for is probably to make the podcast interesting to listen to. It can be pretty obvious that you're reading an article aloud, which may or may not be what you want. I guess it's about setting expectations. :)
That's kinda the line of thinking I had.
I did find myself rewriting sections for audio as I went, I typically break my blogs into sections separated by different headings. That obviously didn't translate to audio at all.
For this first article I didn't consider audio until the end, the one I'm working on right now I'm writing a script alongside the blog post. I'm going to keep tweaking things until I figure out how to make what are honestly pretty dry topics sound exciting!
