Hey guys,
I'm learning to use wordpress, and in general the science related with creating great websites, graphically but most of all in terms of user experience, and in terms of conversion rate.
I can kill two birds with one stone.
First.
On the midterm, this allows me to get fundamental knowledge I'll be able to use personally, with own businesses.
But I need funds, first. Which brings us with my other incentive to get into WP.
I have a student loan to refund, and I need a short term way to generate revenues.
I know there is a huge demand for different small businesses, needing a website.
I can go out there and get clients face to face if I have to.
But, do you have experiences in engaging in full remote work relationships with clients?
What I mean by that, is finding clients, through online strategies (mails, social medias...), and working remotely with them?
I know personally a copywirter, freelance, that is succesful in getting clients online, and working fully remotely with them.
To get clients, he doesn't even do no "cold calls", ( after being tired of dealing with unpolite people for sometimes)
On the long run, it would be way less draining.
If you have valuable insights about it, it would be very appreciated.
Thanks,
Hi @Swlf .
Webflow has an amazing free series on youtube about this. I learned many useful things even as an experienced designer.

ps. the first part is not related to the Webflow tool at all so you can apply to WP.
Good luck!
What an amazing content. Thank you very mutch for it.
I'm really impressed by the quality of this series, this is stunning.
Great realization, and gold core content
Glad it helped :)
Thank you very mutch, I'm definitely going to check it out,
it looks like valuable content :)
Are you a freelance yourself?

Hi Swlf,
In my opinion, the most crucial thing is to have a robust portfolio that shows a prospective client who you are, what is your process, and how you can help them to archive their goal.
I attached my portfolio as a reference: https://coenvanmourik.com.
After finishing your portfolio, you could try to signup for services like:
Fiver - https://www.fiverr.com/start_selling ,
Toptal - https://www.toptal.com/
or
Freelancer - https://www.freelancer.com/
(There are many more)
Hope this will help and good luck.
Thanks for your answer :)
That's the process I'm in. I'm currently building my portfolio.
Then, I already thought about those platforms, and I even created a Fiver.
But, I wonder now how to actually use strategies to get clients on these platforms, even though fellow developers have 10 years of experience, and hundreds of referals...
Do you understand what I want to say?
