Hey, awesome Indie Hackers! My name is Silvia, nice to meet you all. I've finally signed up today (wohoo!) after lurking for a long time.
As a total geek about skill learning and books, I've answered (and asked) the question "can you recommend me a book for...<niche topic>?" probably a bazillion times. I stash all of that knowledge in text files, full of overflowing lists of useful resources. I feel we have so much collective knowledge to share.
This is why I am building Bookstrappers, a crowdsourced repository of the most actionable books to help us creators get better at what we do.
I have so many ideas for this little guy! At the moment, I've created a bare-bone landing page (true MVP-style) at http://www.bookstrappers.com. For accountability (and science), I plan to document the whole development process 'in the open'.
I would love your feedback. Please send me an email/tweet if you'd like to know more, or just if you want to geek out about books and recommend me something new :)

I use https://undraw.co/illustrations - all of the illustrations are free to use, and are pretty awesome for a quick landing page.
Love the name 😊
But you might want to make your text blocks left or center aligned on mobile. The justified blocks are not very readable on my tiny iPhone.

Yes, it was me being silly with Javascript (I've never used Mailchimp before, and it showed..ahem). I've fixed the issue, if you tried to sign up, you should be good to go, now.

Sorry for the "Shroedinger" signup experience (both in an out at the same time) :D That bug should be fixed now.
Dividing content by paid and free is indeed a great idea. I am planning on using a mixture of categories and tags, to make search as powerful as possible (think of the Notebooks / Tags relationship of Evernote, if you've ever used it).
I see "Paid" and "Free" as tags that can be applied to any piece of content. Cheers for the suggestion.
