Hey Indie Hackers 👋
I’m working on a small side project called EsyInvoice.
The idea came from watching small sellers and freelancers struggle with invoicing tools that feel expensive or overbuilt for their needs. Many of them just want to generate an invoice quickly — not manage a full accounting system.
So I built a very minimal MVP with a few core principles:
No sign up, no login – open and start immediately
Instant invoice generation – create and download in seconds
Free & lightweight – built for sellers and freelancers who can’t (or don’t want to) pay for complex software
Right now, EsyInvoice is intentionally simple. My focus at this stage is collecting real feedback, understanding where users get confused, and improving it step by step.
I’m not trying to compete with full-featured invoicing platforms — this is for people who just want to get paid without friction.
Would love to hear:
What feels missing?
What feels unnecessary?
Who do you think this is actually useful for?
Appreciate any feedback or criticism 🙏
Happy to share the link in comments.
Congrats on the launch! What channels are you testing to bring in your first customers?
Currently I am focusing on High Intent Content & SEO.
That’s a solid focus; high-intent SEO compounds well.
Reddit can also support that strategy, especially by tapping into threads where people are already searching for solutions in real-time.
If you’re open to it, I can share how I’d layer Reddit on top of your current approach without distracting from SEO.
