Can anyone here do logos?
Hey all,
Can anyone here do logos? Typically I’d turn to a big business, but instead I want to support the IH community and purchase from members here, I don’t need anything fancy, just 3 app logos (android/iOS/chrome), and 1 very very basic logo in SVG to put on website as brand name.
What would be your price to do this? I’ve got the colours sorted out for the most part (haven’t decided a shade, but the fundemential colour is there). I’m in no rush, and I’d like to pay for all together, I’d prefer to pay via debit or credit card. If money doesn’t interest you, I’ll donate the agreed upon amount to either:
(1) a charity or charities of your choice
(2) a fellow IH member(s) who needs some financial support to start their side business

Anyone know of a firm that will take a small logo made in Gimp / Photoshop and turn it into a vector (Illustrator .AI) and/or SVG?

You could potentially use it, to give the folks here (with their very kind offers) a bit of a steer as to what you're looking for. Sometimes a blank piece of paper isn't the easiest.

Can I ask how someone 'does' logos? A logo is a small but important part of a branding and design exercise which would typically take weeks. A standalone logo is worthless
Most people's idea is to "logojoy" a logo and slap it on their website header. Thats about it. What do you have in mind? I want to know your perception of a logo design process.
A logo must reflect the brand which must reflect the logo. The brand is everything you do, how you do it and why you do it. It includes everything how to shape your company culture, to what your company sells to how your logo looks. Basically your brand is the cohesive identity of your company. It's who you are. Indivisible. Therefore you cannot design a logo or anything brand related without going through a full branding exercise with interviews etc.
