Can anyone recommend a video course sales platform?
I want to start selling video courses but am unsure about which platform to use.
Has anyone had any experience doing this? Could you recommend one if so? Teachable looks like the market leader but is quite pricey.

No personal experience with it yet though.
Teachable does have a free plan you can use to test it out.

Podia has a free trial and is well worth checking out - you can upload videos as part of a course or as a separate digital download.

Went trough this research myself once. The New Kajabi is the one I wanted to use, put pricing put me off. At least before you actually sell any courses. Ended up using LifterLMS (WordPress plugin). Not the most sexy solution, but got the job done 👍
Teachable or else just WordPress with plugins for premium content. Or be crazy like me and build your own everything 🤣!
What made you build it yourself? Are you glad you did?
I did it because I want total control over how my platform works and flexibility to change it whenever and however I choose. This has let me write my content pages in a custom extended version of markdown, with macros for embedding videos or blocks content only shown to premium members, etc...
Whether or not this has been a good time investment remains to be seen.

I've got to say I was surprised there weren't any open source options. Do you think there would be demand for an open source alternative?
