Clans V2 & Voice Chat: Rebuilding Communities and Bringing Real-Time Communication to Clannect

We’ve just shipped one of the biggest updates to Clannect so far: Clans V2 & Voice Chat.

This update focuses on two things that are becoming increasingly important as we build Clannect into a larger gaming ecosystem: community and real-time connection.

🏠 Clans V2

We completely rebuilt Clans from the ground up.

Clans have always been an important part of the Clannect vision, but we wanted them to become more than simply another community feature.

With Clans V2, we’re building a stronger foundation for gaming communities to form their own identity, bring members together, and become an active part of the wider Clannect ecosystem.

The goal is to make Clans feel like actual gaming communities rather than just another page on a social platform.

As Clannect grows, we want communities to have their own spaces, their own identity, and their own way of bringing gamers together.

And this is only the beginning of what we want to do with Clans.

🎙️ Voice Chat

We’ve also officially introduced Voice Chat to Clannect.

Until now, much of the Clannect experience has been asynchronous: sharing content, posting, discovering people, joining communities, and interacting through messages.

Voice Chat changes that.

Gamers can now communicate in real time directly through Clannect, making the platform more useful when people are actively playing, hanging out, or simply spending time together.

And we wanted to take it one step further.

🖥️ Screen Sharing

Voice Chat also comes with Screen Sharing.

This opens up a lot more possibilities for real-time interaction, whether that means showing gameplay, helping someone with something, watching something together, or simply sharing what’s happening on your screen.

The important part isn't just adding another communication feature.

It’s bringing more of the gaming experience into Clannect itself.

Why This Update Matters

One of the biggest things we’ve learned while building Clannect is that a gaming social platform can't be built around content alone.

Gamers don't just want to see posts.

They want to meet people, join communities, talk, play, share experiences, and build relationships.

That’s why we’re gradually expanding Clannect from a social discovery platform into something much more connected.

With Clans V2, we're strengthening the community layer.

With Voice Chat and Screen Sharing, we're strengthening the real-time communication layer.

Together, these features move us closer to the bigger vision behind Clannect: a connected ecosystem built around gaming.

There is still a lot to build, improve, and learn from our users.

But shipping updates like this is exciting because we're starting to see more pieces of that larger vision come together.
