I've dipped back into intermittent fasting, at least on weekdays. I'm mostly fine with it, but I like coffee with milk in the morning, which probably breaks the whole thing :( I
It makes me so much more productive. After eating at lunch I don't focus as well
No idea on the milk! Can't imagine a splash makes too much difference though

Growing https://danger.world
✅ Created and published a gameplay video for the Google Play Store.
🏆 +2 user accounts, up to 96! The video also means they'll list Danger World in other parts of the store, which should help visibility as well.
👷♀️ Playing DnD with friends. Nothing work-related is happening today.
Mostly taking a break this weekend, however... :)
I've long been thinking about how to build my own personal network that doesn't''t rely on THEM (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc).
I came across Palapa here on IH, so I thought I'd give it a spin. I had been in two minds on starting a Slack for rosie.land, part of me really wants to, but the other part of me is totally conscious that Slack is a mahoosive entity, driven by very different commercial goals.
I really want to support indie hackers whilst also growing my own long term personal network. What do you think?
I believe it's fantastic to think about indies and how you can help them even when trying to achieve personal goals!
However, I think you should start with the place where do you think would be the most convenient for your network, to interact with. Or the platform, where are the most significant concentration of your audience. Or the platform, you're the most familiar with. Only then, after you reach some real numbers, you can start to segment your activities. For example, if you "recruit" new network members via facebook, you can keep this way, but clearly express for everyone who wants real-time communication, should join mattermost (it's open-source Slack alternative). So the people who're willing for real-time communication would join it, while others who want some casual updates would be still on facebook.
Current daily news about bad, unethical things happening on big players ("Them") certainly drives a wish to stay away. But I believe entirely ignoring them is just as bad, as totally depending on them. Try to find the right parts (and all of them have it), differentiate the risk and always have a plan B. Finally, if let's say you would spend 90% of work via facebook today (to grow your network), maybe it will be only 10% the next year this time?
TL;DR; it's easier to migrate away from "Them" with your established audience than to build the network by completely ignoring them on the start.

📝 What are you doing today?
Working on initial growth for stowbots.com
✅ Made a bunch of small changes to the aesthetics and copy of the website. Made the copy mention the free trial much more. Also changed the sign-up flow to be less confusing. Set up surveys to get a better idea on pricing, and set a python script to post them around. Created a couple new reddit ads.
🏆 Didn't push the code live until just now, so no changes yet. Hoping to see better conversion from landing page to account creation.
👷♀️ More small website changes, focusing on clarifying product value and answering potential questions on pricing. One of my reddit ads was rejected (it was a meme which apparently is too low quality, even though people seemed to genuinely enjoy it and it even said what the product did. I'm a little bitter😒!) Going to see if there's a different way to get the same joke through.

Where I need help
Ouch about the shadow bans :( maybe @daviddel knows something?
I’m sure things will clear up sometime next week, but it’s unfortunate for sure!
The comic that got my page in trouble was loved by the readers though...
Shadow bans suck ass but the good news is they don't last forever. Time varies from 4-7 days. Give it a week and you will be grand

Searching for achievement badges icons and react components (if it's available on GitHub)
Project: Google Analytics Alerts
Goal: +50 users in July (including the free plan)
✅ What did you do yesterday?
👉 Started updating blog post content about Google Real-Time alerts for additional SEO push and people who arrive at it through the Google Search.
👉 Started using Structured Data for additional exposure on SERP. I think this could be an excellent long term investment for people like me, who don't like other parts of SEO as outbound link building. However, that still requires a ton of content.
🏆 Yesterday’s results
📈 +17 total users in July.
🛠️ What are you doing today?
🔨 Recharge and take a break.
I've dropped off on updating this and need to get back on it! 🙄
Will try and put something coherent together tomorrow.
