I used to treat Monday as the whole launch. Upvotes early. Screenshot. Soft fade by Wednesday. That habit is fine on a 24 hour spike. On a Monday to Monday board it is how you waste four good days.
IndieHunt (https://indiehunt.io) starts Monday at 8:00am UTC and keeps the product on the homepage for seven days. Free has limited slots. Premium is about 19 dollars one time if you want guaranteed dofollow and the kit. Either way the product is the week, not the Monday graph. On the BLP Index IndieHunt is 60. Peerlist Launchpad is 66 as a weekly professional room. Uneed is a daily board at 70. Different fairness and reach tradeoffs. Not clones.
What actually changed for me was day 4. By then the friends are gone. The people left are the ones who found you while browsing, not the ones you DMed. Their questions are meaner in a useful way. They ask about pricing, about who it is for, about the thing your screenshot does not show. That is the feedback a Monday rush never gives you because everyone is performing support.
My current weekly habit:
- Monday: reply fast, do not rewrite the whole pitch
- Tuesday: note every misunderstanding in one doc
- Wednesday or Thursday: one small update if needed (clearer screenshot, sharper first line)
- Friday: decide if the sentence is ready for a louder day later
I run IndieHunt so take the schedule with that context. The useful part is not "my board." The useful part is treating seven days like seven days. If you disappear after the first upvote wave, you paid for a week and used a morning.
When you launch weekly, do you still ghost after day 1, or do you protect midweek reply time on purpose?
