Day 62, not productive 😢
Ended up being a pretty unproductive day for day 62 of #The100DayProject! I forgot I had family visiting from the UK so when I got home from work my evening was mostly occupied. Nice, but also a blocker haha. I managed 30 mins playing around with some layout stuff in wordpress, then about 10 minutes to sort out my posts for IH / Instagram for today cause it was time up!
Anyway, they can't all be really productive days, nice to have done a little bit 🙂Fingers crossed for tomorrow!

I used to look at time with family as unproductive and I'd beat up myself for it, so I'd end up being around them but not really being there (just in my head, thinking and anxious to get back to working on my thing).. however that recently changed when I learned about how quality time with family and truly being present with them has a ripple effect on productivity and creativity. It truly has been the case, I now work in a peak state much more often than before I started doing that.
I find putting family time first quite easy luckily. What I find more difficult is when my day becomes full and I somehow manage to carve out 30 mins for some side project but then the time ends up being quite unproductive as I don't have time to focus properly. I think maybe I should make like a backlog of 5 minute little tasks and save them for when I have those moments and tick a load off
aah I see. Yeah that's a smart solution, it definitely takes some time to get in the rythym for actually completing large tasks.. so yeah having small tasks that can be knocked out in those little productive windows will probably compound on the long run

it's true 🙂30 minutes is sometimes the worst amount of time I feel, because I do little bits of 'busy work' and come away not sure if it was really productive...like 5 mins is just getting set up, getting in the right headspace etc haha. I've found with the 100 day project, so far, that the optimum minimum amount of time for me to carve out to feel like I've managed to 'get into' the work is about 50+ minutes interestingly :)
