Develop the ability to know when it's time to pivot and when to be persistent as a startup founder.

As entrepreneurs, we are very persistent in what we believe in, which is a good sign of a great entrepreneur, although sometimes is not.

We all start from an idea that drives us crazy, we think that we are going to be successful with that idea because we love it and so do our clients.

But you and I already know that it is not how we thought the first time.

The customer development process taught us that, any idea does not survive the first contact with customers, we need to iterate, but the difficult thing is when we realize that we have to rotate, this can be difficult for some of us, maybe not.

Positive or negative feedback from customers makes us realize that.

My vision is to facilitate the way entrepreneurs create business connections and build businesses.

Because I know that it is very difficult to find business connections.

For this reason, I came up with the idea of creating a networking platform where you can find business relationships faster.

I know what you are thinking right now: (This man has to be completely crazy if he wants to compete with Linkedin).

Yes, I was, remember what I said at the beginning. Entrepreneurs are very persistent in what they believe and want to do.

Anyway, I decided to at least give it a try, so I started experimenting with the idea. I did a lot of iterations based on the comments and kept trying over and over again.

But nothing changed, people just told me it's a good idea but they were never interested, others told me I was crazy if I think I will be able to compete with Linkedin and other platforms.

So I took a step back to think about the situation of my startup and I realized that it would not be a scalable business if I continued with that idea of building another social network platform with a better value proposition, because people are not very willing to change what is normal for them and competition is a very hard and that I will need to build a great community from scratch.

I was thinking for hours trying to assimilate my position and trying to convince myself to just quit, but it's something I'm passionate about so I can't do that.

The same day I was reading a book that said that the world's most successful companies iterate and pivot a lot of ideas, but they never change their initial vision.

That blew my mind, I was motivated again and came up with an idea, I got really excited and started working to shape the business model based on my vision.

And now I'm experimenting with more energy again because I'm developing a new skill that I think all entrepreneurs should have as startup founders.

Know when it is time to pivot and when to keep.

I was still experimenting with the first idea because I set a time to run the experiment to get enough data.

But I needed to pivot fast anyway, so I did it base on 15% of data and the rest 85% base on my intuition.

¿Why I did that?

Because I was overthinking too much already knowing that that idea was not scalable.

A startup is about speed and if you're a founder that overthinks a lot you need to change that and become someone bold because if not you will not succeed, the secret to become agile and take better decisions to change or keep on the same path is know when is time to take a step back to think and when its time to stop thinking and start to execute.

But that doesn't mean you will not take bad decisions again because is part of the process but I'm sure that you will become better each time.

Now I'm working on a networking automation platform to help entrepreneurs don't waste more time and energy at networking anymore.

I hope this content was helpful for you and if you have any questions just ask me below and I will try to contest base on my knowledge and experience.

By the way, I'm looking for feedback if you got 2 minutes, go to check my project and tell me what you think about it, please, and thanks in advance.
