Do brand new websites/apps sell?
I'm always coming up with ideas and find it fun to build them out.
In theory I'd like to build one or two "ready to go" products a month and sell them.
My question is there even any demand for that? Do things like that sell on Flippa etc?
I sold two, $7k and $1.5k on Flippa. Side projects, no revenue, no business. But they went viral so I had big traffic numbers. Arguably bad purchases, but it can be done

The second linked site has since been changed and looks pretty ugly sadly, so don't think that's my design work :)

Hi. Honestly it was just Reddit. If it hasn't gone as well I might have tried other things, but for this it was about posting to Reddit with a good title
I've thought about the same thing, but I feel that devs would not be interested, and non-devs would want a major amount of configuration and high-maintenance customer support.
But like I said, I "feel" this is the case, I never actually invested time to try this.
It honestly sounds like a dream job to me, though ;)
Yes my thoughts exactly. People are likely to require pretty polished maintenance features to be interested. Maybe customer support/development on top would be a good source of extra revenue though...

Yeah exactly. I thought about providing a license which would make the project "as-is", as a starting point for the buyer(s). And as a second option, or an evolved version, the project with a Service Level Agreement and a monthly fee, with agreements on the level of customer support.

I spoke with a WordPress developer last year who was taking this approach to earn side income. You might find the full interview with him interesting.
You would need to show that there is some kind of demand for your product in order to generate any interest in a sale. Otherwise, you might find the offers you get too low for your liking.

I think people will only tend to buy for a decent price on Flippa if you already have customers/revenue.
Have you tried selling one of your ideas/build? Maybe you can start with one of your finished apps and see if anyone buys it.
