You don't want to do it... Lol..
If most people don't want to do that job....
Then there's your money at!
SIMPLE!
Most competitive advantages aren't secret. They're just uncomfortable enough that almost nobody actually does them.
.... Take proposals on freelance platforms. Most freelancers send a templated pitch, maybe swap out the client's name, and hit submit. It takes two minutes and feels efficient. The freelancers who actually win consistently do something different — they build a quick sample first. A mockup, a draft, a short demo tailored to that specific client's project, before ever getting hired. It costs an hour of unpaid effort with no guarantee of a callback. Most people won't do it because it feels like working for free. That's exactly why it works — the client isn't imagining potential anymore, they're looking at proof (this is basically the whole game lol).
The same pattern shows up everywhere effort creates a moat. Building your own website instead of relying entirely on a marketplace profile. Learning to shoot and edit your own portfolio content instead of paying someone else to do it. Cold DMing on LinkedIn, a hundred a week, most of them ignored, a handful actually replying, and one or two of those turning into real relationships. None of it is technically difficult. It's just tedious, repetitive, and easy to quit after day three when nothing seems to be working.
A few things worth taking from this:
