Hey guys, I've recently launched a project called Mentor Tool. This is a growing collection of people who are willing to mentor others. It is completely open for whoever would like to join either as a mentor or someone seeking mentorship. I've been having trouble communicating this in on the home page of my site. Do you think what I have now is sufficient or should I create a landing page that goes into greater detail. All suggestions are welcome.
The header text spells it out pretty well but don't assume everyone is going to read that. "People Don't Read!" 😉
You need a better way to show visitors that it's a two-way marketplace. I think you also need a CTA directly in the header.
I suggest two large CTA buttons under the header text - [ Find A Mentor ] and [ Be a Mentor ].
Hello there, the message is clear!
You have a typo on "fashion" in the categories area.
good catch, thanks
One thing's that unclear: mentoring for what? Every area imaginable or in a business context?
It's open for whomever would like to help. It is not specified to a particular field.
Yes, and no.
Its easy to get the main idea, but I think it's missing a use case explanation on how the mentoring will take place. Whats the workflow? From a mentor perspective and vice versa.
It looks pretty clear to me. I immediately understand what the site is about. The how it works section could be fleshed out so people understand the process.
Hi, The message looks clear to me.
On a side note, the "Update view" doesn't give good user experience. I didn't see it until I scroll. I was expecting the list updates when I click on the checkboxes.
I guess that is platform's (Sharetribe) feature and can not be changed.
Hey, white font on a bright orange background is hardly readable. Try to have background that is more dark
Just changed it. Does that look better?
Thank you
yep, much better!
