Driving Traffic to ProductHunt style site for Fashion products

Hi IH!

First post here. I've heard a lot about IndieHackers but never got out of my comfort zone to check it out. I've now taken the plunge to start building and looks like the perfect community to be a part of.

My idea is to start a ProductHunt style web/mobile app for Sustainable Fashion products.

As a fashion e-commerce business owner, I am constantly in the lookout for new acquisition channels. Given some specific aspects of my business model, nothing has given a better ROI than paid social. My idea with this website is to have a gamified discovery engine for sustainable fashion products (apparel, footwear, jewellery..)

What are some potential pitfalls to avoid before I get into building it?

How can I bring users to this platform en masse?
