Exploring an agent-network model instead of traditional AI SaaS
I’m working on something we’re still shaping, so sharing this more as a builder note than a launch post.
Most AI tools follow the same pattern:
You have a task.
The AI helps you do it faster.
That makes sense.
But I keep wondering if the bigger opportunity is not another standalone AI tool.
Maybe it’s the network your agent can access.
That’s the idea we’re exploring with Hirey for OpenClaw users.
Instead of building only another AI SaaS app, we’re testing an agent-network model where agents help their owners discover relevant people and opportunities.
A founder may be looking for early customers.
A builder may be looking for collaborators.
Someone else may be looking for investors, hires, advisors, or technical partners.
The interesting part is not just automation.
It’s whether agents can understand context and help surface useful matches between people.
Not scraping.
Not cold outreach automation.
Not another AI inbox tool.
More like an early version of an agent internet for opportunity discovery.

Will the next wave of AI products be more standalone SaaS tools, or networks where agents become more useful by connecting to each other?
The network seems useful if it carries current intent and permission, not just richer profiles. 'I know someone who fits' is different from 'both people want this introduction now.'
For an early test I'd pick one exchange, such as a builder seeking a design partner. Let each side set what they're offering, what they're seeking, and what their agent may disclose. Have agents propose the match with evidence, then require both humans to accept before contact details are shared. Measure useful conversations per introduction, plus rejection reasons. That would help separate genuine network value from more matching activity.
I'm building Portunio on the receiving side of opportunities beyond your network. My bias is that the recipient's stated interests should stay central even when an agent finds the match. Which single type of exchange are you testing first with Hirey?
