Facebook ads bot traffic
Hey,
After advertising my project on Facebook I keep getting some weird traffic.
The project is avocadojobs.com (job application tracker for developers) and I launched two ad campaigns, one on the SF Bay Area and one on major Asian cities, both targeting software people. Unfortunately, there were unsuccessful as I only got one new signup from around 1k visits per day. This is traffic that persists even today, after a week has passed from the campaigns' end, and my question is what is this traffic.
It seems most of them are VPSes from AWS and Digital Ocean. I learned that after running geoip queries from a small sample of their IPs and seeing their ISP.
Anybody with similar experience or further knowledge on the matter?

Would like to hear/learn more about this mysterious traffic.
It seems it's almost 70-80% from Digital Oceans IPs. They just hit the index, almost every minute. Sometimes IPs reappear. I don't have any more info, I'm open to more analysis techniques if you have anything in mind.
Maybe it would be fun to lookup what ports they have open.
Would you mind sharing some of those IPs?

This made me think you're linking to a post that talks in more detail about the weird traffic.
I suspected a similar thing on one of my FB campaigns for the likes I got. I haven't experienced the traffic stuff yet. I am not 100% sure but I will avoid them for the foreseeable future now.
