Does someone have success in driving traffic from Pinterest?

Does someone have success in driving traffic from Pinterest?

I heard it is really difficult to make marketing there. My website is quite visual and I think I should use Pinterest more efficient to drive traffic to it.

So not sure about "success" metrics yet; however, our product does some "rich pin" integration. You can effectively drop a link to one of our stories and it'll open up the pinterest browser when you tap on an image. I think this could probably be better, but it kind of feels like "Stories for Pinterest" with links out from pinterest throughout the story. Would love to work with folks to improve this if they know of ways to do so.

I know that 8Fit had a ton of success on Pinterest, fitness app aimed at women.

Do they have some blog post or video/podcast about it?

No, I was chatting with their marketing people directly so I'm not sure if they published anything about it

I investigated their profile and it looks like they spent a lot of effort. I think there is no easy way on Pinterest you should invest a lot of time or maybe I can try Pinterest ads.

8Fit is a top 50 Health & Fitness app in the US with a huge team so yes, they definitely put in a lot of effort it was driving users. They have raised VC money.

@faridmovsumov, who's your audience and what's your website? Is it Foodie Advice?

Pinterest works quite well for eCommerce products. I used to run a dropship clothes business a few years ago and the majority of conversions came from Pinterest.

That said, remember that 81% of Pinterest users are females and that men account for only 7% of total pins on Pinterest. Median age is 40.

    What's your Pinterest profile?

    Thank you.

Thanks for your reply. Yes I am planning to do marketing for Foodie Advice because it is visual website. Our Pinterest page is https://nl.pinterest.com/foodieadvicecom/ I just started to fill data recently. I created some boards and filled with images. What should be next steps. I got 0 traffic so far. Maybe I just need wait until these boards indexed in search.

Check out the Side Hustle podcast and scan for episodes with "Pinterest" in the title. There have been a few.

I think you need to get a bit more creative with the images.

For example, if I search for 'Istanbul food' then the results that come up are much more enticing than the images you have. Having text in the images helps people understand better what the image is about.

Recipes could be another good thing to focus on.

And basically thinking, how can you be useful to the pinterest audience?

You are right. All first results are with texts. Maybe this one can be effective https://nl.pinterest.com/pin/282530576611319309/

I think that page/image has too much information on it, so it ends up not being useful. You could probably turn the ideas/content of that page into multiple images, it will give them more focus, and if you describe them efficiently they would be more likely to turn up in search results.

Thanks for suggestions. Yes I will definitely try different formats.
