Feedback on Growth Tactics knowledge

http://www.letsgrow.io

Tldr;
I’m looking for feedback on a growth tactics knowledge base that I’ve started to pull together at letsgrow.io

Hi all - excited to be a part of Indie hackers! Amazing to see so many side-hustlers in one place :)

I constantly find myself scouring the web in my spare time looking for new growth tests, frameworks and optimisation ideas to apply the next day. I'm sure some of you do too!

It's something that I enjoy, but oftentimes the inspiration and ideas get lost and I cannot find that one article back again when I need it. I, therefore, started summarising my own knowledge as well as online articles into GSheets, but this is becoming a mess. I'm therefore transferring everything into short actionable descriptions and putting them online.

The aim of this is to let me, my team, but definitely also you and others find new growth inspiration and built your own prioritised knowledge base. Actionable tactics that can be executed the same day or saved in a workflow for later. I've started to add the most useful growth tools and frameworks creating a curated knowledge base for marketers, product managers and entrepreneurs.

I'd love to create a vivid community of growth people out of it. But first I'd like to hear your thoughts on this side-project. Is it clear? Valuable? Worthy of telling a friend?

Plz, let me know your 2 cents on how to make this better!

I hate to tell you this. About 95% of growth advice on the internet is ineffective. Most success stories are where folks created their own path. Invented new growth areas. By the time their success was known, that did not work anymore. The shelf life of growth tactics is about 2-3 days.

      I strongly disagree.

Growth tactics do change, but to know what will work next you need to know what worked in the past and to understand the models. People are the same.

A lot of tactics that worked ~2013 still work today. The channels are mostly the same. The cost of channels changes as people start to see the value in them (i.e. facebook ads not as valuable as they used to be), but that doesn't mean that those models are ineffective, just that you need to see why they are less effective and adjust.

Thanks for the comment. Very encouraging!

Of course, you don't agree. As your whole concept is based on your opinion. However, there is a huge following of senior growth managers at high profile firms that agree with me. In any case good luck with your idea. Many growth hacking forums get a lot of readers. There are about 400 of these forums.

I’d be very surprised if the ideas that improved your activation and conversion are solely applicable to your business. I’m pretty sure most of them would be very relevant to businesses small and big across many industries.
The only thing that will be unique is your core product value and customer relationship.

Your opinion - not true - most that I see that really worked, Are one time events and very pinned to the founder and business model. Not repeatable.

              What’s an example of that?

I think you should allow users to browse the website & sections first before taking them to sign up.

Gotcha, I agree. Will make that possible.
