Finally made something this weekend

I can't believe I'm actually posting my little project on here...it's a bit like asking Gordon Ramsey to taste your cheese sandwich.

Anyway, hi everyone my name's Chris and I'm from Belfast. I've lurked round here for a while now and it's by far my favorite place on the interwebs. There never seems to be any judgement and no dick measuring...it's a proper community that I actually feel part of, despite not being good enough to be called an indie hacker.

Speaking of dick measuring...here's what I made over the weekend. It's called sizematters.io and it's a reference site for finding the latest social media image and video sizes.

Last week I was making some posts for social media, but the image size cheat sheet I had downloaded was out of date. (There are literally hundreds of these things floating about, most of them are out of date and useless.)

So I thought, wouldn't it be cool if there was just a site where you could click on an icon, get the right size, and go on about your business. No having to trawl through massive blog posts, no having to download rubbish cheat sheets.

Like I said, I'm not an indie hacker...I could spend the next 6 months trying to make it. Or I could bang it out in a weekend using a site builder like carrd.co (thanks @ajlkn) and see if anyone wanted it...so that's what I did :)

I'm not sure if anyone will use it, but I plan to keep it up to date, even if it's just for me. And to be honest, this was more about me actually putting something out into the world...even if it is just a simple cheese sandwich.
