Finished my MVP in 3 weeks, now trying to get the first 10 users for my real-estate side project 🏠

Some background

After a few years just dreaming of starting a side-project, I wanted 2021 to be my year. No, not a huge MRR, 999999 followers on Twitter, or anything like that. I just wanted to start! That simple. I wanted to stop dreaming!

Well, so far I had the chance to launch 2 browsers extensions, one super tiny project, and now, my last project this year: Placee.co.

About the project

My dream is to finally buy our home. So, for the past few months, I've been studying the real estate market in the U.S. From Youtube videos to real-estate agents' websites, to communities on Reddit, and so forth.

I'm no expert, but I do know that this market is not crowded. You do have some big players, but still, I have a feeling that more can be done!

This is why I decided to create Placee.co. It's an alternative for homeowners to put their homes for sale. The focus now is on FSBO listings (When the place is being sold by the owner directly, without an agent). There are 2 or 3 big players, and they have a lot of traffic, but they lack a modern touch to their website and their UX. That was and is my base for creating this project. Again, the "base", not "the only reason I created this or why I think this can become something greater". 😬

Next steps

I've been trying to build this in public on Twitter, but boy, handling the development and being there at the same time was kind of hard. Now, I want to be more active in publishing our progress.

The goal for December/2021: Get 10 users to list their homes with us.

An ambitious goal, I would say, but my focus is 90% in marketing right now, and that is what I'm gonna do! 😅
