First plausible startup idea
Howdy! So over the last few days, i've been rationalising one of my ideas. Without giving too much away, users will be able to go to the website, input their information, and will receive a customised product which they can distribute - It's not ground breaking, but there are a few USPs which I think will contribute in making this a good product.
I was a graphic designer for 4 years, and for the last 5 years, I have worked as a web developer. So I have the basic knowledge required to design and build this product myself. I am also drafting in a good friend, who is slightly better with the dev stack than I am, which should speed things up.
My question is this - How long should it take, from the initial idea all the way to launch, to get an MVP out there? My initial thought was that i wanted it up and running before the end of August. Is that too long?
Hey! that's not too long. 1 month is ideal for MVP I guess. Keep in mind you gotta do all the stuff, from domain registration to favicons and setting up emails under the domain etc. these all take time. I have launched websites under 24 hrs (and proudly ended up #3 at Producthunt) but building a business takes more time :)
