Hire-a-cofounder: looking for feedback
I created a simple board with the intent of connecting technical cofounders with people who want an MVP. Getting hired instead of immediately partnering doesn't exclude partnering down the line, but it provides a trial period with fair compensation.
I want to get my first few listings and a lot of my target market is here on IH. It's all free. Would love some feedback.
I like the idea of trying to connect these two groups of people that normally have a hard time finding each other.

Having a group of technical people lined up looking for projects would help. This is a two-sided marketplace where one resource (the technical cofounder) is in much higher demand. Your growth will be limited by your ability to onboard new technical founders. Everyone wants to build an MVP 🙂
Instead of launching a basic site with no supply, start a landing page looking for technical cofounders on webflow.com. Once you have the platform ready, launch with a large number of seeded cofounders.
Cool, thanks for the tips - all good points. I don't love the design either - that's on the todo list. I'll take a look at those calls to action, I think you're right.
I'm actually thinking about hand-inviting certain people to create some profiles so there's a few initial listings on the front page - you're right about the importance of actually having some profiles posted to get visitors interested.
That's a really good point about hand inviting. Probably a much most cost-effective way to do it with higher conversion rates.
I like the idea! Just signed up and made a post looking to partner with non-tech folks. As a technical bootstrapper I'm always looking for niche ideas that I can spin up projects for quickly, but it's hard to warrant starting something new when I'm tight on cash. I'm definitely interested in getting paid to start something, and hopping in seriously if it gets momentum.

I'm going to try to get a lot of people looking at the listings over the next week or 2 - I'll be very interested to hear if you're able to get connected with an interesting project.
I like the idea of working with cofounders who can actually afford to hire an expert - it probably filters out a lot of the flakes.
