Meet Om Patel, a 14-year-old indie hacker from Canada determined to help developers turn ideas into money-making products.

Om’s journey began at 12 with Python tutorials. By 13, he launched InternHub, a platform to review internships. Despite spending a year building it and $1,200 on ads, the project flopped with only 25 users and zero revenue. Disheartened but undeterred, Om pivoted to creating smaller SaaS applications. Seven more projects failed.
The turning point came when Om identified a gap: founders struggled to find validated, real-world product ideas. This insight led to BigIdeasDB, a platform that scrapes Reddit for 1,000+ real problems, pairs them with SaaS solutions, and highlights success stories.
After launching on October 21, 2024, initial feedback was mixed, but Om improved the platform based on user input. Within days, he made his first sales, earning $200.
Om continues refining BigIdeasDB with features like keyword-based problem discovery. His goal? To fund his college education while empowering developers worldwide.
