How I lost my domain name and is now being sold of $25k

Last year, I built a simple chrome extension app called Filmwaiver. It basically helps filmmakers easily access discount codes of film festivals on Filmfreeway.

I initially thought it was going to fly quickly but after a few 100s emails and fewer installs, I gave up on it and just left it. A few weeks back, I have been so drawn to the project back and with some more ideas on how to scale the app, I decided to give it another shot and that was when I realized my domain had expired just a few weeks earlier and was now available on the market.

I tried rebuying and realized it's now owned by someone else smart enough to get the domain and now listed it on sale for $25k. I have to be honest, I was really impressed yet sad...lol.

I am now left to relaunch my website with another domain extension which I think isn't that bad too. www.filmwaiver.io

I intend to build in public for the first time and cant wait to see what the future holds.
