Two years ago, I was unemployed and desperate.

I applied to over 300 positions in a few months. Every single one required a tailored cover letter — because I couldn't afford to skip them. Some HR managers use cover letters to filter out candidates before even looking at the resume. You can't bet on them not caring.

So I did it the hard way. 30 minutes to 2 hours per letter. Reading job descriptions, matching my experience, rewriting the same story in 300 different ways. It felt like a full-time job just to find a full-time job.

That experience never left me.

So I built AI Cover Letter Generator.

What I learned building it:

The hardest part wasn't the AI. It was making the output actually sound human. The first versions were fluent but sterile — they read like a robot trying to be polite. I spent weeks tweaking prompts and testing real job applications before I felt good about the quality.

The second hardest thing: SEO. Cover letter tools are a competitive space. I've been slowly building out content, adding tools like an ATS Resume Checker and a free LinkedIn Job Extractor Chrome extension to make it a full job search toolkit.
