I built Baeyond because I was tired of dating apps

I built Baeyond because I was tired of dating apps that kept me swiping instead of meeting. Every app I tried had the same pattern: infinite matches, endless chats, ghosted conversations. My screen time went up. My coffee dates didn't.

The "success metric" for dating apps is daily active users. Not relationships formed. Not real-world meetings. Just engagement. They profit from my loneliness, not my connection.

I come from Mauritius 🇲🇺 — an island where community happens in person. Where you know your neighbor.

Where digital tools are bridges, not destinations. So I built Baeyond as "Le Pont vers le Monde Réel" — The Bridge to the Real World.

Every feature is designed to get you OFF the app:

• Time-boxed conversations (chat expires, meet or move on)
• Event-integrated matching (see who's going, meet there)
• Even branch integration — curated events for matches to meet IRL

The goal isn't a match. The goal is a real-world encounter. The app is just the bridge. The real world is the destination. Baeyond exists because connection shouldn't be growth-hacked.
