I built HiTranscript to turn saved Reels into text you can actually use

Saving a useful Reel is easy. Finding one sentence inside it a week later is another story.

That small frustration is why I’m building HiTranscript: a way to turn spoken ideas into text you can search, edit, and use.

Paste a public Instagram Reel link or upload your own audio or video. HiTranscript generates a transcript you can review, search, and export. There’s also a batch workflow when you have several links to work through.

The part I care about most is what happens after transcription. A readable transcript helps you study an idea, find a quote, or draft a post. Timed subtitles help when you’re taking the same material into a video editor. HiTranscript gives you both views, with exports to TXT, DOCX, PDF, SRT, and WebVTT. You can also rename or merge detected speaker labels when they need tidying up.

I’m building this for creators, researchers, educators, and anyone who keeps a collection of videos they actually want to learn from.

You can try it with the credits included for new accounts. If you need more, credits are a one-time purchase—there’s no subscription or auto-renewal.

Use videos you created or have permission to work with.

I’d love feedback from fellow indie hackers: when you save a useful video, what do you want to do with it next—find a quote, study it, repurpose it, or add subtitles?
