I built SmartForm Blaster because I got tired of clicking “Submit” 100 times

Hey indie friends 👋

A few months ago, I hit a wall.

I was testing web apps for bugs, and managing some repetitive admin tasks — and I found myself filling out the same exact form, over and over again.

  • Paste name

  • Paste email

  • Paste message

  • Click submit

  • Repeat 80 times...

At some point I thought: "There has to be a better way."
But all the tools I found were either:

  • Chrome extensions I didn’t trust

  • Bots that broke after one update

  • Or required writing Python scripts just to do something basic

So I built SmartForm Blaster — a desktop app that lets you:

  1. Load a .csv file

  2. Paste a form URL

  3. Map your fields (e.g. "name": "#name")

  4. Click Run Auto-Fill — and it fills and submits the form, row by row, in a real browser.

No coding. No browser extensions. Just time saved.

🛠 Built with:

  • Electron (cross-platform)

  • Playwright (browser automation)

  • A lot of coffee and frustration

✅ Who it’s for:

  • Job seekers

  • QA testers

  • Lead gen teams

  • People who say “I’ll just do it manually this once” 50 times

It’s free to try and runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux, but I'd appreciate if you toss me a donation.
Just launched it on Gumroad here if you want to check it out:

Would love your thoughts:

  • Is this useful to you?

  • What would make it 10× better?

  • Ever solved your own pain with a tool like this?

Thanks for reading — and thanks to this community for the inspiration. Indie tools rock. 💻🔥

That’s exactly how great products are born — not from brainstorming, but from “this is driving me insane.”

I had a similar moment that led me to build something tiny around mindset books (1 weekly insight that actually sticks).

Curious: how long did it take you from idea to working version?

      Hellos friend,
Well it started in the end of one week, then I had my grumpy thoughts about it during the weekend, wrote it down on paper on Monday and then wrote it on Tuesday. So I'd say roughly 5-6 days for the thought process and design to code.

I have other projects were I have a more chill approach and they give back more energy because it's born out of a fun challenge, like, I wonder if this is possible.

This lil' project was born out of, "not one more time" haha.

      All the best!
