I built two very different pre-revenue products - trying to decide which one to focus on

Hey IH 👋
I’m a solo founder and recently realized I’ve built two very different products, both pre-revenue, with very different risk profiles. I’m sharing how I’m thinking about them and would love feedback from people who’ve been through this.

The first is ConsentCheck. It’s a $19 one-off diagnostic tool that scans websites for consent banner and Consent Mode v2 issues that break Google Ads conversion tracking. A pattern I kept seeing was GA4 showing conversions while Google Ads didn’t - not because of campaigns, but because tracking was firing before consent or Consent Mode was misconfigured. The tool flags the issue and explains how to fix it.

What I like about ConsentCheck is how specific and easy it is to understand. The pain is real and urgent. What worries me is that it’s episodic - people only need it when something breaks - so LTV is limited unless I expand it beyond one-off reports.

The second product is ShortListHQ, a CV shortlisting tool for recruitment agencies. You paste a job description, upload CVs, and it produces a ranked shortlist with 0–100 scores and plain-English explanations. It doesn’t replace an ATS - it sits before it. Early users can cut shortlisting time from 6–10 hours down to 1–2 hours per role.

This one feels like a stronger long-term business if it works, but it’s riskier. The recruitment AI space is crowded, sales cycles are slower, and trust matters a lot more.

Right now my thinking is to push ConsentCheck first as a focused, agency-friendly diagnostic product to get traction and cash flow, while being more patient with ShortListHQ.

If you’ve been in a similar spot, I’d love your take:

Would you double down on the faster, lower-ceiling product?
Or bet early on the harder but more durable one?
If you’ve run a one-off diagnostic product - did you keep it simple or layer in subscriptions later?
For agency-focused tools: what mattered more early - white-labeling, reporting, or pricing flexibility?
If you had to bet your next 6 months on one of these… which would you choose and why?

Happy to share numbers and experiments as I go.
Appreciate this community - reading IH posts has already saved me from a few bad decisions 🙏
