I’m building a collaborative birthday page — would love honest feedback

Hey Indie Hackers 👋

I’m working on a small web app called Whistle Wink. The idea came from a simple frustration: whenever someone has a birthday, messages end up scattered across WhatsApp, Messenger, social media, or emails — and there’s no single place to keep them.

Whistle Wink lets one person create an online birthday page, then invite friends and family to leave personalized messages, images, and small animated gifts. Everything lives on one page that can be revisited later.

This is still early, and I’m mainly trying to learn:

  • Is the value clear within a few seconds?

  • In what situations would you actually use something like this?

  • What feels unnecessary, confusing, or missing?

Here’s a short demo: https://whistlewink.com

I’d really appreciate any honest feedback — even “I wouldn’t use this” is helpful at this stage.

Thanks 🙏
