Idea of the Day #2 - Invisible insect repellent barrier for decks/porches

So, when you go out on the deck or porch at night and turn the lights on, the bugs flock. What if, something could be installed either on top of, or within the top rail, that acted as some sort of of insect repellent. Essentially sending chemicals in an upward stream, to away unwanted pests.
